From luxury goods to international brands, from traditional businesses to urban, Zurich-based labels – shopping in Zurich inspires both lovers of exclusive products as well as trend-conscious people. The citizens of Zurich use the word «Lädele» to describe an enjoyable shopping tour through the city’s diverse districts: whether on the world-famous and vibrant Bahnhofstrasse, on the banks of the River Limmat in the picturesque old town with its more than 2000-year-old history, or in the trendy urban districts of Zurich-West and Aussersihl. On request, we will arrange a personal shopper for you.

Zurich’s Bahnhof-strasse World-famous deluxe shopping street

Pure luxury and international brands on the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse, which extends 1.4 kilometres between Zurich Main Station and Lake Zurich. The Rennweg and Augustinergasse streets take you directly from Bahnhofstrasse to the picturesque old town.

Seefeld district A colourful and creative alternative

Seefeld is a Zurich district in Kreis 8. Besides little fashion boutiques, tailors and design furniture shops, a large number of delicatessen can be found here. Combine your shopping trip with points of interest such as the large parks and embankments displaying a variety of sculptures (including Heureka by Jean Tinguely and Sheep Piece by Henry Moore), the Chinese Garden, and the last building designed by the architect Le Corbusier. Or treat yourself to a break from shopping in one of the many small cinemas, cafes and restaurants

Limmat embankment and the old town Traditional strolling promenades

The Limmatquai is the street in Zürich’s Old Town – also known as the Niederdorf – that runs along the right-hand waterfront of the River Limmat. It passes by the Grossmünster Church, the Wasserkirche (Water Church) and the Rathaus (City Hall), as well as various guild houses. Many of these are home to public restaurants, combining a history-steeped ambience with typical Zürich culinary specialities. Under the arcades near to the Rathaus, trendy shops have taken up residence and, together with the other retailers, invite visitors to enjoy a shopping spree along the car-free Limmatquai between Central and Bellevue. Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

In the «Viadukt» Shopping in the trendy district

Life has returned to the area under the arches of the railway viaduct, built in 1894, in Zürich West. A 500m-long urban meeting place invites you to stroll, shop, enjoy, eat and drink. A shopping paradise has arisen under 36 viaduct arches, offering a colourful mix of delicatessens, studio galleries, sport outlets and fashion labels.
