“loved this hotel”
We stayed in Zurich for two nights at the Opera Hotel and loved it. We were in a double room, on the 5th floor which had a large balcony overlooking the river and city. The room was clean and updated, light and bright. Location is behind the Opera house, and close to shopping and restaurants. We took the tram to and from the train station and it’s about a 5-7 minute ride.
The staff was customer service oriented, from the front desk to our breakfast waitress Maria who was attentive and friendly. They offered vouchers for a welcome drink of champagne in their restaurant upon check in which we thought was a nice touch. They also have a 24 hour tea bar in the lobby area, so you can help yourself at any time which was another unique detail that made our stay a little nicer.
Breakfast had a basic selection of cheese, meat, bread, cereal, yogurt and juices. Also bubbly for mimosas. Our waitress pointed out that there is one specific variety of cheese made just for the hotel – they even have a framed picture of the cow that the milk comes from!
Loved this place and would highly recommend.

“Tea in the lobby is great! And a unique detail. This is our 8th Hotel in Switzerland and no one else has provided this. Most appreciated! Our breakfast waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Telling us about the cheese made only for your hotel. We have one more night in Zurich and we are enjoying our visit and would definitely stay again.
Also want to mention the hair dryer is great quality, again the best of any hotel we’ve stayed in. We love your room and appreciate the balcony and view!”
