Excursions

Uphill and down dale

From Zürich, visitors can set off on all kinds of tours of discovery, both large and small. There are charming towns to explore, imposing mountains to climb, and delightful stretches of water to enjoy. We would be pleased to book excursions on your behalf.

Titlis glacier – snow and fun all year round

Take a trip with the first revolving aerial cable car up to an altitude of 3,020 metres above sea level. Touch the snow and the eternal ice, and allow yourself to be enchanted by the atmospheric light and sound in the glacier grotto. Try out the chute apparatus in the glacier park – fun is guaranteed! Come and visit Mt. Titlis and delight in the magnificent Alpine panorama.

Einsiedeln

The beautiful countryside around Einsiedeln is ideal for sports and exercise outside in the open air. An imposing focal point and cultural centre is the world-famous Benedictine monastery in the heart of the town. You can find out more on a guided tour of the monastery, including a visit to the spectacular library.

Rapperswil, the City of Roses

Rapperswil, located along the Riviera of the upper part of Lake Zürich, is home to a picturesque, mediaeval, car-free Old Town, a beautiful lakeside promenade, a castle, Knie’s Children’s Zoo and the longest wooden bridge in Switzerland. The best way to travel to Rapperswil is by taking a trip on one of the highly popular Lake Zürich cruise boats. The region has been well-known since mediaeval times. Rapperswil lies on the route of St. James Way, and already centuries ago it was a popular stopping-off place for pilgrims as they headed via Lake Zürich to Einsiedeln on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

Luzern

Lucerne offers a diverse range of attractions for one and all: a picturesque Old Town with historical houses decorated with magnificent frescoes, the famous Chapel Bridge with its water tower, the Lion Monument & Glacier Garden, a lakefront promenade along Lake Lucerne, Europe’s largest transport museum, an IMAX film theatre, the Lucerne Culture and Convention Centre (KKL Luzern) and countless museums.

Rhine Falls

At 150 metres wide and 23 metres high, and gushing an average of 700 cubic metres of water per second, the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen are Europe’s biggest – and a truly spectacular sight. Particular worthwhile is a boat tour in the falls basin, over to the central rock and then further downriver.

Baden: city of diversity

Baden was originally a Roman settlement. Later, Goethe, Nietzsche and Dürrenmatt came to recharge their batteries in the 47 °C warm thermal waters, which gush forth from 18 springs and have transformed this small town on the River Limmat into a lively spa resort. Nowadays, Baden offers recuperation and relaxation in well-tended urban green spaces, as well as variety in the form of international cultural festivals, a diverse theatrical scene, revitalising wellness oases and the Grand Casino.
